Center Stage Performing Arts Studio, Utah's Premier Dance Studio
Archive 1-2007
L.A. (Staples Center)
01-29-2007
Wow!, I never thought this day would come where we would have our last show. I remember starting out in this tour thinking that's such a long ways away. Well, I am going to miss everything this tour had to offer and what I am going to miss the most, is the crowds cheering during the whole show. But who knows, maybe we willl tour again, But this last show was magical and was the greatest show we have ever had on this tour because it was our last. After the show, the principals were saying that they are finally going to put to rest HSM, well, only the first movie! I will still remember this last show and all that we did in those 2 months of touring. Well, I will continue to write about my experiences and if your interested, your're welcome to keep on visiting :) Jared

Michael Jackson in Las Vegas
01-28-2007
Well, I will remember this day for the rest of my life, MICHAEL JACKSON CAME TO OUR SHOW! Right before we went on to perform, we got to meet Michael and his family. It was amazing to meet someone who is known all over the world. The reason why we were so lucky to meet him is because Kenny Ortega (Director and Choreographer of HSM), is a good friend of Michael and helped him in his career. So as a gift, Kenny invited him to our performance so we could all meet him in person. It was an amazing experience and will always remember that day in Vegas. Remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas! - Jared

Fresno
01-27-2007
This show was quite amazing because my dad had grown up here but I also had family members that came to the show, that I haven't seen in a long time. The venue was also quite interesting, it was under construction and actually quite small. But even though it was little the crowd was huge! Something like over 16,000! They screamed and cheered when I mentioned I had family from here and introduced them to the audience. The show was memorable and it was nice to come back to Fresno where I hadn't visited since I was little. - Jared

SLC to LAX (show at Honda Arena in Anaheim)
01-26-2007
Well I didn't get much sleep last night because after the auditions I went to dinner with the whole crew of dancers from the tour and movie, up at Squatters in Salt Lake City. So when I got home I told my mom I was going over to my sisters to install the long awaited Slingbox. The Slingbox is so amazing! Its a unit that you install to your satellite tv or for instance, Direct TV with Tivo that I hooked it up to. Well to make a long story short it allows me to watch my sisters Tivo anywhere in the world where I have internet! So anyways I didnt get to bed till about 2 am and i had to be up at 4:30 am to catch my flight at 6:55am. When I got to the gate Chuckie, Kimberly, Aubree, and Tyne all rode on the same flight as me. When we got into LAX I got picked up by a car service and headed to Anaheim. The show in Anaheim was awesome! We had Charles back and we were all pumped up to finish our last 4 shows we have! After the show we had a meet and greet that was 500+, but it actually went quite fast because this time, we didnt actually see the whole line of people, we just saw the ones that could fit in the room.

Salt Lake City HSM2 Auditions
01-25-2007
The auditions for High School Musical 2 were crazy! I heard that atleast 1200 kids auditioned for roles for HSM2, some of the kids even came from CA and CO. The routine for the audition was awesome, it was a hip-hop baseball routine! Now that may not make sense just telling you about it but if you could see it you would understand what it looked like ;-). But after the auditions I met with everyone who did the first movie and it was a blast seeing all of them again. - Jared

MO, CA, UT

This morning I flew to LAX with the whole crew of HSM. I would have to say we occupied 90% of the flight which was kind of cool. Shortly after arriving to LAX I was picked up by Warner Bros to go to lunch and talk with them about a few things. They had mentioned that tomorrow Ashley Tisdale's music video, "Be Good To Me" would air tomorrow around 5PM on the disney channel. Before leaving the restaurant I ran into Zack and Vanessa who just happen to be eating at the same resturant. I visited with them for a little bit and caught up on a few things with Zack, cuz I hadnt seen him since the first movie! There after I headed to a dance studio to say hi to Ashley and see how her music video, "He Said She Said" was going. Then that night I caught a flight home to Salt Lake City, so I could head to the HSM 2 auditions the next morning. - Jared

Kansas City, MO
01-23-2007
Kansas City was another great show and it was Lucas Grabeels home state! So he had an amazing time and all his family members came to cheer him on today. After tonight's show we are all going back to the hotel for tomorrows flight to LAX in the morning. - Jared

Jason Celaya on Grease
01-22-2007
Hey everyone, I want you to VOTE for Jason Celaya next Sunday, (Jan 28) on the new show, Grease "You're the One that I Want". It's on NBC. You have to call in, just like the other reality shows on TV. The shows starts at 7pm Mountain and 8pm Central. He is like a big brother to me. I have known him for years. We used to dance and sing together at CenterStage Studios in Utah. He is awesome!!" Don't forget to vote for JASON!!!!! see ya, Jared. Check out NBC's site

St. Louis, MO
01-22-2007
Today we only had 3 of the 4 guy dancers for tonight's show. Charles Klapow (our choreographer nickname Chuckie) had to go to Utah to audition people for High School Musical 2. So we had to respace most of all our dances so they wouldnt be so awkward. But for Getcha' Head In The Game, we had Charlie (who is part of the crew) fill in for Chuckie, and he did an awesome job! Then for Push It To The Limit, we had Aubree Storm fill in for Chuckie and she did the jump ropes perfect! So even though we didn't have Chuckie with us, we performed ten times more to fill the missing spaces. - Jared

Day Off in Milwaukee
01-20-2007
Today was a fun day off, we went to a recording studio to hear Ashley sing some of her songs. Then after that we headed back to the hotel and went to eat at Benihanas. - Jared

Chicago, IL
01-19-2007
This venue was sold out within 15 mins of the tickets being released. The crowd was amazing! Its so cool to be on stage after Status Quo and hear the piercing screams and cheers of the audience. Its something I will miss and hope to hear again someday. It was also Aubree Storms (dancer) hometown and her parents came to the show and also delivered the best pizza I had ever had! - Jared

Columbus, OH
01-18-2007
Today was a fun day. I got to go with Ashley today and hear her speak lines for a cartoon she is doing, and she did an awesome job. After that we headed back to the venue to get ready for the show. The crowd was great and we all had a good time. - Jared

Indianapolis, IN
01-17-2007
Well this venue’s set up was quite strange, I got lost trying to find my way to the dressing rooms. I even lost my pass when I left the dressing room! But luckily Kimberly (Charles Klapow’s sister) picked it up. Thank you Kimberly! There are new pictures in my photo gallery, so be sure to take a look. - Jared

Auburn Hills, MI

Well I’m going to start working on taking video on my camera and set them up on youtube.com, for viewing and such. Thanks for reading my blogs everyone and I’ll try my best to keep it up to date. Check out this video of the sound check before the show this week. -- Jared

Auburn Hills, MI (day off)
01-15-2007
Auburn Hills looks like a winter wonderland. There is snow and icicles all over the place and it’s so funny hearing people cheer for snow when I see it all the time and played in it for most of my life growing up. But I enjoyed the weather and later that day I went to an outdoor shopping mall. After that I went out to eat at an Italian restaurant called Bravos which was really good. After that I went back and watched some 24. That is everyone’s favorite TV show; it was a really cool season premiere. Ashley's co-star from the Suite Life Adrian R'Mante, who plays as Esteban, was in one of the episodes playing a terrorist. He did a really great job and Ashley said that Kiefer Sutherland told Adrian that he was the best actor he's worked with on the show. - Jared

Cleveland, OH
01-14-2007
This was a funny venue cause Vanessa and Ashley tried on wigs to enter the venue without being noticed. And I gotta say it worked out pretty well. The kids didn't know the difference but the parents could kind of tell here and there. Ashley wore a dark black wig while Vanessa wore a bleach blonde wig. It was pretty funny seeing them looking so different, but it was a lot of fun and the show was great. - Jared

Cincinnati, OH
01-13-2007
Cincinnati was great, I had a lot of fun and the show was great. After He Said She Said, Ashley introduced me in front of all the audience. It was quite a shocker cause I had just gotten done dancing and was exhausted! - Jared

Charlottesville, VA
01-12-2007
Charlottesville was pretty cool; they had some pretty neat buildings to see as we drove through. But I don't have much to say lately cause we have no days off and not much to do at venues. -- Jared

Philadelphia, PA
01-11-2007
YAY FOR PHILLY CHEESESTEAKS! Show was great but the food after was just as good :D) Jared

Worcester, MA (WISS-Tuh)
01-10-2007
This was a really fun venue! And it was because of the really cool shark logos, naw I'm just kidding, but it was pretty cool. The crowd was amazing and they really enjoyed the show. - Jared

Day Off in Boston
01-09-2007
We arrived in Boston around 4 am and I checked into my room at the Onyx. I had a great time off in Boston. I went exploring and took a bunch of pics. I also went to a laundry mat for the first time and did my laundry there. And I gotta say it was a lot of fun! It was a bit cold but eh it didn't bother me too much. - Jared

East Rutherford, NJ
01-08-2007
Another really special show, it was Ashley Tisdale's hometown! And they loved her soooo much! At the very end of our show when we announced her name the crowd went wild and screamed as loud as they could! It was a great show not only for us but for Ashley Tisdale as well. - Jared

Albany, NY
01-07-2007
Our last show in New York was a great show! It was sold out and the people there loved it. After the show I went back to the bus and played some Super Smash Bros, it was a lot of fun. - Jared

Pittsburgh, PA
01-06-2007
Pittsburgh was a great place and also quiet. On Friday Drew, Ashley, Monique, Autumn, and I all went out to eat and shop around. Later that night Ashley and I went to a sushi bar called Sushi Kim's and ate some really good sushi. There was one called the Spider Roll and it was pretty good but also spicy. After that we headed to a club where Lucas was going to play and invited everyone from the HSM cast to come to the club and hear him play his guitar and sing. He played a lot of good songs but his last song was everyone's favorite. He wrote it when he was only 12 and it was about him and his Nintendo that he used to play as a kid. It was the funniest song ever! After that everyone headed back to the hotel to catch some sleep. The tech crew had to wake up at 2:30 a.m. to do the rigging for the Mellon Arena that we were going to perform at that day. The reason why they were up so early is because that arena was so old the rigging was very complicated and time consuming. I just wanted to mention our crew is really outstanding. They spend at least 2 hours after the show to take down the stage, and then the next day spends numerous hours putting up the stage. So props to our awesome crew!!! Jared

Hartford, CT
01-04-2007
For some reason our best shows are when someone in our cast has a birthday. And today was a special day for Aubree, one of our 4 girl dancers. It was a great show and there was also a birthday song for Aubree sung by thousands of people in the arena! The show went well and we all had a great time dancing and celebrating Aubree's 21st birthday. - Jared

Rochester, New York

Another awesome sold out show! :) Jared

Toronto, Canada
01-02-2007
This was my first time in Canada, and it was a great experience. When the buses first got there I slept in till later that day, then several of us went off to our usual task, shopping. Then we headed back to the hotel to go eat with Drew Seeley's family. Drew was born in Canada and later moved to the USA. So coming back to his hometown was quite an exciting experience. We went to the Wayne Gretzky restaurant called 99, the food there was great! We actually got to meet Wayne Gretzky's father, Walter Gretzky. He was a funny guy and loved to take pictures. After we finished eating, I went back to the hotel to catch some shut eye for the show tomorrow. The show that day was awesome, it was sold out and nearly 20,000 people were there. The show went great and when we introduced Drew Seeley as a Canadian native the people screamed and went wild, we clearly won their support and cheers throughout the whole show. - Jared
