2nd Show in Long Island
12-31-2006
Well this 2nd show was no let down from the last one, the energy was great and the crowd was just as loud. It was an overwhelming feeling to know that we were performing our last show of 2006. After the show, we hopped on board our buses to head for Canada on New Years. On our bus was Ashley, Me, Vanessa, Stella, and Lisa. It was a fun ride; we played board games, watched 24, and talked about the shows. On New Year’s instead of Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Juice we had Frappuccinos made by Ashley as our toast to the New Year. - Jared

Manchester, NH

Well I don't have much to say other then this show completely sold out 13,000 seats in 30 minutes! The show went well and we all had a good time. :) Jared

Long Island, NY

This venue was huge and was sold out.........twice!!!! So this night wouldn't be our last night here. The show was awesome and was a great turn out. - Jared

Washington D.C. (Verizon Center)
12-28-2006
This was probably the best show I have done so far on this tour. It felt so great and the crowd was amazing! Today was also a very special day for one of our dancers. It was Tia's birthday, and also her hometown where she was born and grew up. Her mom and dad came to the show along with her puppy to celebrate her birthday and her success. - Jared

Greensboro, N.C.
12-27-2006
This crowd was a lot better than the one in Charlotte. The crowd was participating and they loved the show. Before the show, we filmed Ashley's music video for "Be Good To Me". Today was the day I did my first music video and it was really cool. I always wanted to be in a music video because of MTV's music videos and wondered if I would ever be in one. Today was my chance and it was a really neat experience. I asked when they would start playing the video and they said it would take about 2 weeks to edit and get it on TV. I can't wait to see it and see how it turned out. They showed us a playback on the big-screen but that was just one of the 10 shots we took. It took about an hour and then we had to do a sound check for the show that night and then get ready for the show. I had some friends I knew come to the show and they loved it. It's fun doing the shows but they mean more to me when I have family, friends, or people that I know come to the show. - Jared

Charlotte, N.C.
12-23-2006
Today's show was tough. The crowd wasn't very loud but maybe that's just their culture. We will find out on Dec. 27th who can scream louder, Charlotte Vs Greensboro. - Jared

Columbia, South Carolina
12-22-2006
Today was also a very special day for someone in our cast. It was Monique Coleman's hometown! The crowd loved her and after the show, we had the biggest meet and greet we could possibly have. Her hometown is so proud of her and supports her so much. She made front cover of the newspaper that day. - Jared

Jacksonville
12-21-2006
This was a great show for someone special in our cast. It was Drew Seeley's hometown where he grew up. When the show opened up, you saw tons of "We Love Drew!" signs. Some of the signs even lit up so you could see them from far away. Drew Seeley plays the part of Troy Bolton for the tour but he also co-wrote the song "Getcha Head in the Game". He was also runner up for the part of Troy Bolton in the movie "High School Musical". - Jared

Tampa, Florida
12-19-2006
The next morning I flew out to Tampa, FL. When I got into Florida, I went out to eat with Ashley and her mom and then went shopping with them. The mall we went to was the nicest mall I had ever been to. Everything they sold there was high end brands. After shopping for I think it was 4 hours, we went back and chilled at the hotel. The next morning I got up and went to the pool for a bit with Ashley and then got ready for our show that night. - Jared

Dallas and Houston TX
12-17-2006
Well, before I actually start this blog off, I just wanted to say this is the first time I've been in Texas. And I have to say it is a nice place and the people are very nice. When we got to the hotel, I just crashed from the long drive and went to sleep. Houston is a big day for the entire HSMC cast, because it will be remembered forever on DVD. The entire show is going to be filmed by an Emmy winning filming crew. So we have confidence on how well the DVD will turn out but now it's our job to dance the best we can. And that night we did, we had an amazing show. And I gotta say this is my favorite venue by far because you could actually see throughout the whole arena and see the people. After the show for about an hour and a half we did out takes to make sure we got every shot perfect. By then I was dead tired and felt like passing out because prior to this show we did a run through of the whole show, so that night I slept quite nice. - Jared

Board Walk in Louisiana
12-14-2006
Our stay in Bossier City, LA wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't too bad. I would have rather been in Utah doing a show. While staying here the cast and I went to the Board Walk and to shop, eat, and watch some movies. Some of the dancers went and saw “Apocalypso” one night but I was so tired from staying up the night before that I decided to pass and sleep. But the next night Sterling, Nick, and I went to see “Eragon”. It was a really good movie and I know a lot of kids would like to go watch it. It reminded me of the “Lord of the Rings” movies. Other then movies, we ate at Joe's Crab Shack. It was a lot of fun with the dancers. Before we got our food all the workers got up and did some disco moves to some music. So I decided to get up and do exactly what they were doing. And I have to admit it was pretty easy! But everyone was so surprised I actually got up and joined in on the dancing, because right before I was just chilling at the table being really quiet. The next night I hung out with Ashley and her mom Lisa. We went into an outdoor sporting goods store that's one of the cool places to hang out when you're a kid living in Shreveport. It didn't take long for the kids to figure it out that it was Sharpay and Maddie from the Disney Channel in the store. They started following us around so we split the goods store before we got surrounded and went to Joe's Crab Shack to eat. It turns out even the Crab Shack figured out what was going on too and they offered us half off on our dinner and also security on our way to leave, since there were a bunch of kids outside waiting for an autograph. The night of our show was awesome! The crowd was great even though it was an arena of only 12000. Right before every show I like to peak out into the audience where its pitch black and see all the little kids glow sticks waving around. I always try to remember when I was a kid and imagine how I would feel going to a concert like this. I'm a little jealous but, ehh, I get to be the show so that's ten times better! Backstage while we are getting ready you can hear the audience singing “Breaking Free”. They just really love that song, and they also love Corbin Bleu's (that's actually his middle name, his last name is Reivers) songs because it involves the audience screaming to praise him as a champion boxer. The show in Bossier City was great and after we just hopped back on the buses and headed straight for Dallas, TX. - Jared

Break in Shreveport
12-12-2006
Well our last show was in Seattle, Washington. The weather there was quite gloomy, windy, wet, and cold. But I didn't mind the weather cuz it reminded me of the slopes when I used to go skiing. But as for the show, it went well and the crowd was great too. Right now I'm on the plane on my way to Shreveport. The whole crew and dancers are on this flight. The principals and musicians got to go home during this time. So we have a whole 4 days to find something to do to occupy ourselves in Shreveport. We might go down to Florida but we're not all sure yet.-Jared

We Arrive in Portland
12-09-2006
We just arrived in Portland today and the bus ride was a 14 hour one. But it didn't seem that long since I slept through most of it. But the area here is so green and pretty and the way everything is setup reminds me a lot of England. Today is our day off so we are gonna go explore today and see what Portland has to offer. So far I like it here even though the weather is gloomy, it still looks like a nice place.-Jared

Stockton, CA
12-06-2006
This show was so amazing! The crowd was so loud and was 10 times better then the crowd in Sacramento. They would stomp their feet and sing along with songs like “We're all in this Together” and “Breaking Free”. They loved the ballroom and also they went crazy for Corbin's routine "Push It to the Limit." Well, we're on our way to Bakersfield so I'll be back soon. -Jared

YouTube Montage

Hey Everyone! Check out the High school Musical Concert Montage on YouTube. This is from the show in San Jose. See if you can spot me on stage. -Jared

"Happy Feet" in San Jose
12-01-2006
I am in San Jose now and before the show the cast took a break. The cast and I went down to San Francisco and ate lunch near the docks. After that we all went and saw the movie “Happy Feet”, which was a really good movie. All of this makes me so tired so I got to sleep before the show. Well, our San Jose show was sold out and even bigger then San Diego. The show was awesome too. -Jared
